NRHA Press Release

Demi Healthcare Partners Named an Official Partner of the National Rural Health Association

Strategic Partnership Strengthens Commitment to Advancing Rural Healthcare Across America

Chicago, IL — Demi Healthcare Partners (DEMI), a physician-owned healthcare services organization focused on rural and underserved communities, has been named a Pipeline Partner of the National Rural Health Association (NRHA).

The partnership recognizes DEMI’s commitment to helping rural hospitals address some of their most urgent challenges, including provider coverage, specialty access, patient retention, and long-term financial sustainability.

About the Partnership

As a Pipeline Partner, DEMI will engage with rural hospital and health system leaders through NRHA’s educational programming, communications, and events, sharing practical strategies focused on workforce stability, specialty access, and sustainable care delivery in rural communities.

Rural workforce shortages continue to threaten access to care across the country. DEMI addresses this challenge through a physician-owned, permanent staffing model built to help rural hospitals recruit and retain committed clinicians who become part of the communities they serve. Across partner facilities, DEMI has maintained 100% shift coverage for 10 consecutive years. Patient engagement scores across those facilities have also consistently ranked in the 85th to 95th percentile on Press Ganey surveys.

DEMI’s rural support model extends beyond staffing. Through DEMIConnect, its virtual specialty platform, partner hospitals have generated an estimated $150,000 to $300,000 annually in retained specialty revenue by expanding access to board-certified specialists and reducing unnecessary patient transfers. DEMI’s swing bed optimization program has also helped partner hospitals increase swing bed census by as much as 400%, supporting both continuity of care and the financial strength rural hospitals need to remain open and serve their communities.
